Family Practice combines the kindness of yesterday’s general practitioner with the scientific expertise of today’s modern medicine. It entails comprehensive medical care with particular emphasis on the family unit. The specialty is one of breadth that encompasses many areas of medical care, including internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, surgery, psychiatry and community medicine.All of our doctors are board certified in Family Medicine. The family physician serves as the physician of first contact and means of entry into the health care system. He evaluates the patient’s total health care needs and provides personal medical care. When a patient needs a referral to another specialist, the referral is made by the family physician, who continues to serve as the patient’s health care advocate and thus preserves continuity of care.
